A butt lift in Delaware is a buttocks-enhancement procedure that tightens loose skin to reduce sagging. This body-contouring surgery is an effective way to create a firmer rear end.
What Happens During the Consultation?
At your initial consultation for a butt lift, Dr. Balakhani will go over your medical history and ask you about your goals for the procedure. Be ready to discuss any recent medical procedures, current medications and supplements, and past procedures.
Dr. Balakhani will perform a physical examination, and photographs may be taken for your medical records. He will go over the details of the butt lift process, from preparation through recovery. Feel free to ask questions, since it is important that you fully understand the procedure before coming in for it.
Preparing for a Butt Lift
In order for your butt lift treatment to go smoothly, you will be required to give up smoking in advance. Cigarette smoking impairs proper blood flow in the skin, which can impede the healing process. In addition, your chances of complications are greatly increased if you are a smoker.
Refrain from taking any blood thinners, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), or certain herbal supplements before your buttocks lift operation. They may make bleeding more likely.
Being at a stable weight is important for this procedure, and it will be best if you don’t experience any significant weight changes for at least six to twelve months before getting a butt lift.
What to Expect During the Procedure
General anesthesia will be used to make the patient comfortable for the duration of the procedure. Next, Dr. Balakhani will make an incision from hip to hip along the lower back or beneath each buttock. In order to raise the buttocks, the surplus skin below the incision will be pulled upwards, and excess skin and fat will be removed. Incisions will be closed with sutures.
The usual time for a buttocks lift is between two and three hours. If additional contouring procedures are performed at the same time, the surgery could take up to six hours.
After the Procedure
Following a butt lift procedure, a surgical dressing will be applied to the incision site. To reduce the risk of blood clots, it will be helpful to start walking the first day after your surgery. Pain is typically mild and can be managed with painkillers as directed.
You will need to wear a supportive garment for the next few weeks. This will help to control swelling and give you some much-needed support as you recover.
You will need to take it easy for the first few months after a butt lift and gradually build up your activity level. To keep the incision from opening again, you should avoid any position that puts pressure on the incision. Dr. Balakhani will provide you with specific recovery instructions, which must be followed closely.
Dear Dr. Balakhani,
I wanted to write a note of thanks to all of you for being so wonderful during the surgery process. I love the change in my body already, and can’t wait to see the final results in a few months. I’m so excited to wear the clothes I never would have looked good in before, especially bathing suits!
